Autism Radio fundraiser on tap

BLADENBORO —Horses and family fun … those are the ingredients for a day-long fundraiser to benefit Autism Radio on Saturday, April 21.

The event, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., is being sponsored by Turning K Performance Horses and will take place at 2020 Marsh Road in Bladenboro. The gates will be open at 9 a.m. Admission is $3 per person; ages 10 and under will be admitted free. The event is for ages 18 and under only.

Events will include barrels, (assisted), barrels (unassisted), apple race, speed barrel and a bloomer race. There wil be classes to inlcude lead line (any age), pee-wee (0-8), youth (9-12) and teen (13-18).

Entry fees are $7 per class or $10 per class if using Turning K horses. Children do not need to have their own horse in order to show. Children are welcome to ride stable horses for this event.

Ribbons wil be awarded to the top three in each class. All special needs children will get a ribbon in their barrel class. There is no charge for this class.
